Roadmap to X-2004
There are two ways to X-2004 : By car or by public transport.
The X-2004 party will be held near Ruurlo, so first let me give
you an idea of where it is in the Netherlands.
Ruurlo is in the yellow area of the map, in the purple dot. Cities
nearby are Doetinchem, Zutphen and Lochem.

How to get there by car :
Please use a route planner like at www.map24.nl
You can get to Ruurlo from 2 directions, either the north
(from the A1) or the south (from the A18). But first a
map of the surroundings of Ruurlo.

From the south :
Get on the A18 near Doetinchem. Take exit 4 and
follow in the direction Doetinchem. After about 3km follow
the signs to Ruurlo (and keep following them). After a
while you exit Doetinchem, keep following the signs to
Ruurlo. Now you are on the purple road connecting Doetinchem
to Ruurlo (look at the map from Ruurlo).
Follow this road (in the direction of Ruurlo) until you
get to "Veldhoek".
It's only a small village
so watch out for it!!! Keep following the road until you
get to a hump (or treshold) in the road (we'll put up
a big sign here and also there's a bus station nearby).
Go left and follow this road until you find the next X-2004
sign. You're there!!!
From the north :
You should come from the A1, and you can either
go to Zutphen first or Lochem. (depending on from where
you're coming). From Zutphen follow the signs to Vorden
and then Ruurlo, from Lochem follow the signs to Ruurlo.
If you've managed to get in Ruurlo, follow the signs to
Doetinchem (you should pass the railroad somewhere when
exiting Ruurlo)if you've got room in your car check
if there are people standing at the railroad station,
which is left (about 150m) just BEFORE passing the railroad).
After you've passed the railroad, keep following the signs
to Doetinchem (you'll have to make a left turn somewhere).
You're now on the purple road connecting Ruurlo and Doetinchem
(check the map).
Follow the road until you get to "Veldhoek".
It's only a small village so watch out for it!!! Keep
following the road until you get to a hump (or treshold)
in the road (we'll put up a big sign here and also there's
a bus station nearby). Go right and follow this road until
you find the next X-2004 sign. You're there!!!
How to get there by train :
This is easy. Buy a ticket to "station Ruurlo"
and go there ;-)

Make sure you don't miss the last train to Ruurlo
(The last
train gets there about 23:21 !!)
You will be picked
up from the station, so DON'T TAKE THE BUS!!!! We don't want people getting lost in the woods.
We'll post some regular times at the station (every 20 minutes)
when we'll pick up people from
the station by car (they'll be hanging there, so look
for them if you're impatient).
Also if there's a large
group (8 or more people) give us a call at : xxxxxxxx
and we'll send some cars immediately.
There are no phones at the station but nowadays everybody
has got a mobile, bring it!!! The bus pick-up service
will only be available on Friday and on saturday only
if you give us a call. After that you'll have to call
to get picked up (bring your mobile phone!!)
Please remember that our drivers will stop worrying about
driving at a certain time, so don't expect to be picked
up on friday after midnight or on saturday after 17:00.
